That's it! Rachel wins!!! I was thinking similar to the other ladies, but Rachel really got it! Oh, wait, this isn't my blog, and I don't get to pick the winner ;-) Actually, I think those ideas would be opening you up for a Meme to others; so, that's my idea: do book reviews, on different subject, but do a weekly meme where others get to comment on their books. Let's see...oh, I'm not that creative! But if you take all of Rachel's ideas, I do have a young friend who is so gifted/talented at making buttons and banners; she's starting a business with it all, and she's quite inexpensive. LMK! And I didn't need to win a book, anyway ;-)

Blessings,

Hi What a great name for a website!

How about doing more than just reviewing books - you could create special days like "Finance Friday" and you can review books that help people with saving, getting more for their dollars, investing, being frugal, retirement - this is a big category - people LOVE reading about how to make money.

Then what about "Mommy Mondays" where you can recommend books or ebooks on parenting or motherhood - this could include homeschooling or just general encouraging books for mum - even great fiction for mum.

Then there could be "Wordy Wednesday" and you could suggest great classic read alouds for families.

Go a step further and get others involved by developing cute icons or buttons or banners that you use for each "day" - like a cute dollar sign or money for Finance Friday and offer it to others to put on their blogs with a link back to your website - you will get great traffic that way!!

PLUS you could even go further with this same idea and become an affiliate with people who sell great ebooks that you like (like Cindy Rushton ..or me!) and when you recommend a book on those days you can include your affiliate link so you could gain money for recommending great books. People love to read what other people think of ebooks on offer.

Go girl!! you can do this !! by having different days of the week that you blog on a specific topic you will gain a loyal audience who will keep on coming back to your site again and again. PLUS if they link to you and leave a comment with their link - you both win! in the traffic stakes.

Thanks for this opportunity - if I win I am very happy to pay for postage as I live in New Zealand.
Thanks

I saw your post on Let's Get Real and thought I'd take a look.

Absolutely, lots of book reviews for a site with that name. As another book lover, I can envision posts on what you use for homeschooling as well as what you read in your 'non-homeschool' life. Maybe even with cute thumbs up, thumbs down or thumbs sideways for graphics.

I've been using Shelfari to track what I'm reading through the year, but have not been good about writing reviews there. I do know that I'm always on the lookout for the next great read or book for the boys to read.

Well, with a website like that, how can you help but get into book reviewing? I do some book reviews, they are actually taking over my blog! And my domain name isn't nearly as good as yours for that!

An easy way to get started is join an alliance like http://firstwildcardtours.blogspot.com - Mimi is the BEST, it's been a real blessing to be part of this group.

You can catch me through my blog or email included in the comment fields.

Take care :).
